About Troop 7
Boy Scout Troop 7 was chartered in 1914 and has been serving the Port Washington, NY community for over 110 years. We are one of the most active troops in our council, with a strong tradition of outdoor adventure, leadership development, and community service.
We meet every Wednesday from 7:30–9:00 PM at the United Methodist Church, 35 Middle Neck Road, Port Washington. Monthly camping trips, summer camp at Onteora Scout Reservation, and high-adventure activities are the heart of our program.
Our scouts have hiked the Appalachian Trail, canoed in the Boundary Waters, and climbed mountains in multiple states. We believe in the Scout Oath and Law, and we strive to live by these principles in everything we do. Our program is youth-led, with adult guidance, allowing scouts to develop leadership skills and take ownership of their scouting experience.
Why Choose Troop 7?
- ✦Open to all boys ages 11–17 — any age within this range can join at any time of year, no prior scouting experience required.
